NAYONG PILIPINO sa Clark Expo is an extension theme park located in a 3.8 hectares portion of the Expo Pilipino complex built under the administration of former President Fidel V. Ramos.

THE SITE REDEVELOPMENT IS A CELEBRATION OF RECYCLING AND COLLECTIVE EFFORTS AMONG GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.  The Nayong Pilipino Foundation creates new life to the termite infested property which was closed during the time of former President Joseph Estrada.

In a bid to bring back the country’s culture, traditions and popular attractions President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ordered the reopening of the Clark Expo.  From the termite infested wood scraps from the original Nayong Pilipino in Pasay City,  came into life artists' renditions of famous artifacts such as the 14 stations of the Cross, the altar, lectern and benches found inside the replica of Barasoain Church, etc.

The new and refurbished structures were made from old wood, windows and other materials from the original Nayong Pilipino.

ALL THESE WERE MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE COOPERTIVE EFFORTS OF THE Nayong Pilipino Foundation, Department of Tourism and its attached agencies: Intramuros Administration, Philippine Tourism Authority, National Parks Development Committee, Philippine Convention Visitors Corp., National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the Education Department.

ABOUT THE ORIGINAL NAYONG PILIPINO in Pasay City

Nayong Pilipino (Philippine Villlage) was a 45-acre theme park featuring a miniature version of the Philippines and its culture.

The park was divided into a number of geographic displays -- Ilocos, Cordillera Central, Tagalog, Bicol, Visayas, and Mindanao. Each of these displays contains a typical house or building and a typical landscape of its region. For example, the Visayas display contains a replica of the historical landmark, Magellan's Cross, Cebu, and Bohol's famous Chocolate Hills.
